F4F Player 2 Green Shovel Knight Statue Revealed & Ordering Details!

What once was lost, has now been found! It is an exceedingly rare occurrence for a “vaulted” (cancelled/indefinitely postponed) product to come out of the F4F Vault, but that’s just what’s happened with the next item joining the F4Family of pre-orders this week: the long-lost Green Shovel Knight Player 2 Statue will go up for sale this Friday during F4F Q&A #97! What’s the story with this iteration of Shovel Knight, and how does he stack up to the previous two versions? Read on…

First 4 Figures Green Shovel Knight Statue SpecsBelieve it or not, we’re now approaching almost a full year since the Player 1 Blue Shovel Knight & Ornate Plate Gold Shovel Knight statues went up for sale. But that’s not all that happened almost a year ago, as we also learned about a tragedy during that launch: the Vaulting of the Green Player 2 Shovel Knight variant.

While First4Figures had gone as far as to make a prototype of the Green SK prior to putting the statues up for order, ultimately they opted to move forward with the fancy-looking gold Ornate Plate armor rather than the Player 2-only green armor.

Back of Player 2 Shovel Knight Green Variant StatueBut all was not lost–! CEO Alex Davis posted a poll the same weekend that pre-orders went live, asking for 125+ votes from First 4 Figures Official Collectors Club members for any Shovel Knight armor permutation that they’d like to see produced in statue form. P2 Shovel Knight was the highest-voted option in that poll by a huge margin, and after getting approved by Yacht Club, became one of the first figures to ever escape from the dreaded F4F Vault!

Fish Head Shovel Knight Figure Player 2 Green VariantIt’s taken almost a year from that day to get to this point, but just as the blue and gold versions of the statue are about to hit full-on production, finally the emerald-clad digger is ready for his time in the spotlight! As this statue is a 100% repaint of the other two versions of the sculpture, there’s no changes to the height, weight, depth or weight of the statue. He’s still short enough and light enough to fit inside of a detolf–and he’ll still come with the same EX version extra!

Back of First4Figures Green Shovel Knight Statue Yup, that’s right! The crazy fish head Shovel Knight Exclusive Edition will live again–this time in a lovely lime green colorway! While the bonus interchangeable fish head wasn’t instantly the most popular extra item to ever come with a First4Figures Exclusive Edition, it is the kind of quirky, offbeat fun that Shovel Knight is so famous for.

I think it’ll be pretty rad to see photos of the trio of fish-headed knights displayed by hardcore SK fans who end up buying all three versions of the statue!

F4F Shovel Knight Statues Blue Green Gold VariantsShovel Knight P2 will be the first piece to exist outside of the ordinary numbering scheme for his series. Those who purchased the P1 SK or Ornate Plate Armor versions and authenticate will be able to retain their numbers for Player 2, but can also choose to pass on the green iteration without having to worry about forfeiting their number for future characters in the series (if any are, in fact, released).

Green Shovel Knight Player 2 Variant Statue First4FiguresThe First 4 Figures P2 Shovel Knight Green Exclusive Edition will go up for pre-order following the F4F Q&A #97 this Friday, December 7th. POs should go live shortly after noon EST if past offerings are any indication. The price will be revealed during the livestream, but I’d be shocked if it’s not close or identical to the price of the previous versions  ($299.99).

A Black Shovel Knight Mail of Momentum variant is also in development, and will presumably launch in 2019 if all goes well. Hopefully these variant colors sell well enough that First 4 Figures will be able to continue the line with more characters (and their color variants), such as Plague Knight and Spector Knight.

Now that the impossible has become possible and Player 2 is finally able to join the battle, will Shovel Knight P2 be joining your collection, #F4Fans? Are you excited to see more SK armors being produced in limited quantities, and which color(s) do you hope to see next?
