First 4 Figures Luigi’s Mansion PVC Statue Photos & Preview! F4F

“Good things come to those who wait” is true on a couple different levels here. For First 4 Figures fans, the much-beloved Alex Davis and Tsoek Cheung livestream will be returning after months of absence for a new product launch (at last!) tomorrow. And for me, that means I can finally post some hi-res photos I’ve been hoarding since summer: the F4F Luigi’s Mansion PVC statue goes up for order this Friday! Want a better look in advance of the stream? I’ve got you covered!

Life is full of little disappointments–but one big disappointment I had earlier this year was that I just wasn’t up for making the trip to the Las Vegas Licensing Expo in the summer. Thankfully, I have great friends and ended up seeing extensive photos and videos of everything I would have seen if I had been in Las Vegas (and then some)!

I’ve been holding onto a big batch of hi-res photos of the First4Figures Luigi’s Mansion Statue ever since the show, and while it’s taken a little bit longer than I expected to have the opportunity to hype this figure, Luigi finally launches this week!

Whereas the F4F Luigi statue that I saw at New York Comic Con 2019 last week was the regular version being distributed by Dark Horse in the United States, attendees at the Licensing Expo got to see the real deal–the Exclusive Edition!

What makes this EX Luigi special? Well, there’s one major difference from the standard version–and it comes in the form of a ghostly canine companion! That’s right–the First 4 Figures Luigi’s Mansion Exclusive Edition PVC comes complete with Luigi’s pet, Polterpup!

Besides the fact that he’s standing happily next to Mario’s brother, we know this is the specific Polterpup that Luigi befriends by his red collar (not blue like those of the generic Polterpups we don’t especially care about in the game).

We haven’t been told definitively yet whether or not the regular edition will light up (I suspect it will not), but we can tell absolute certain that the Luigi Exclusive version will light up. I oftentimes don’t bother to utilize the electronics on my figures, but the flashlight and backpack on this piece look awesome all lit up!

And despite being a “mere” PVC figure and not a resin statue, the level of sculpting detail on this piece is also impressive. Look at that texture on Luigi’s overalls!

While I fell off the wagon and skipped ordering several of the more recent F4F PVC statues, I don’t think I can pass on this one–that is almost certainly the coolest-looking and most fun PVC First 4 Figures has done to-date.

Keep scrolling down for some additional photos of the Luigi prototype that was displayed at Licensing Expo 2019, and a mega-thanks to Bang H Le for sending over these photos to share with the #F4Fam!

The Exclusive First4Figures Luigi’s Mansion Statue goes up for order on Friday morning, and will remain open for a minimum of four weeks. You’ve got a while to soak in the official photos and comprehensive information before deciding whether or not you’re in for this Luigi, so take your time and make a decision you’ll be happy with–just don’t forget to come back and order within the ordering window if you want your own Polterpup!

Now that the big day has finally arrived, have you made your decision on this PVC figure yet, First 4 Fans? Is this piece “Exclusive or bust”, or would you be just as happy with your green-clad plumber without Polterpup?
